Lahore: The 2nd Youth Peace Summit 2014 was organized by Kafka Welfare Organization at University of Central Punjab Lahore on 27 November 2014. The event was designed to encourage. The event was designed to encourage confab, investigation and self-reflection among the youth thematically focusing on the “Cultures of Peace and Education”

After the customary recitation of the Holy Quran, the hosts as well as delegates paid allegiance to the national anthem. Anchorperson Arham Abtahi introduced the Kafka Welfare Organization and outlined the agenda for the day. A panel discussion comprising Dr. Atif Shahbaz (PHD, Max Planck Institute Germany, Assistant Professor GC University Lahore), Mr. I. A. Rehman (Director, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan), Dr. Aizaj Anwar (Painter) Ms. Amna Ulfat (Former MPA) and Mr. Hassan (MPA PMLN). It was stated that youth should be involve in every decision which is directly or indirectly affecting them. It was concluded by panelists that lack of education is the main reason of intolerance in Pakistan which is causing disorder.

Tv Actor/Producer Mr. Adeel Hashmi said in his address to youth of Pakistan that to build peace we need to eliminate injustice with common people of Pakistan. In Speakers, Mr. Tehseen (Executive Director, South Asia Partnership), Mr. Salman Abid (Regional Director, SPO), Ms. Hina Parvez Butt (Young MPA PMLN), Qaisor Abbas (CEO Possibilities), Amir maqsoor (special Advisor to the leader of the liberal democrats UK, Dr David crewfond (Scientis) Uk and Tranjit Singh (Media Person) addressed to youth of all four provinces on wisdom, vision and equality.

To promote peace cultural performances was presented by youth of South Punjab, North Punjab, KPK, Baluchistan and Gilgit Baltistan.

The aim of 2nd Youth Peace Summit was completed when young people has presented their demands and suggestions and Kafka Welfare Organization succeed to present it in front of parliamentarians. KWO is a youth led NGO of Pakistan which is working on advocacy of youth in the field of education and peace. KWO has initiated youth vision for peace campaign last year to promote peace in Pakistan and to remove conflicts and violence.
