Young Leaders Program 2015
Program: Peace & Conflict Resolution (Sports for Development & Peace), SDG 16
Project Duration: 1-17 Feb 2015
Target Audience: Youth
Main Objective: Training on Sports for Development & Peace
Introduction: Umair Rana represented Kafka Welfare Organization, Pakistan at Young Leaders Program 2015 Hoonam University Gwangju, South Korea. The program was based on Sports for Development & Peace, conflict resolution & Child Protection. The host organization was United Nations Office on Sports for Development & Peace
Outcome: Represented Pakistan and Kafka at United Nations

Lets Ring Peace Beat Project

Program: Peace & Conflict Resolution, Youth, Social Media, CVE, SDG 16
Project Duration: Ist April- 30 June 2015
Target Audience: 2,00000
Main Objective: Counter Extremism & Violence Through Innovative Tools  SMS, Voice SMS, Social Media and App
Introduction: It was an innovative project to counter extremism & violence by promoting peace and harmony. The project included SMS, Voice SMS, video message recording and dissemination, social media and a symposium. 
Outcome:1.  Social Media campaign will retain its sustainability and will work as a platform for youngsters to share their ideas on peace promotion and CVE.
·   2.  Social media beneficiaries are passionate to work voluntarily to promote social media campaign at national level to counter violence and extremism.
·      3 .   Government parliamentarians have promised us to implement the idea at national level to counter extremism and violence.
·    4.  Video messages are a source of peace promotion and available on social media to promote peace among youth 



Youth Peace Symposium 2015 

Program: Youth, Peace & Conflict Resolution, CVE, Social Media, SDG 16
Project Duration: 1-10 June 2015
Target Audience: Youth
Main Objective: Counter Extremism & Violence through youth participation in policy advocacy and peacemaking activities 
Introduction:A youth peace symposium was organized by Kafka to mobilize youth for peacemaking process. 300 youngsters gathered from all over Pakistan to participate in policy making particularly policies affecting youth.
Outcome: Sensitize 300 youngsters on Counter Extremism and Violence
Contributed to the policy-making process 


Lahore Education Conference 2015

Program: Education & Capacity Building, Youth, SDG 4
Project Duration: Sep 2015
Target Audience: Youth, Civil Society, Teachers, Media
Main Objective: Transformation and Improvement of district education
Introduction: An education conference was organized to discuss education challenges, Barriers and solutions in perspective of Lahore at UMT Lahore. Politicians Fareed Ahmad Paracha, MPA Sadia Sohail, Wiqas Hasan Mokel, Mansoor Malik President Lahore Education Reporter Association participated as a main speakers.  
Outcome: 1. More than 350 youngsters got awareness and motivation.
2. All of them started to volunteer for our project and made a chain to spread project at national and international level.
3. Raised issues through 10 leading print media
Education Forum 2015

Program: Education & Capacity Building, SDG4
Project Duration: March 2015
Target Audience: Youth, Civil Society, Teachers, Media
Main Objective: Finding Solutions for Education problems
Introduction: An education forum was organized by Kafka Welfare Organization in collaboration with DFID funded Alif Ailaan education campaign at human rights commission of Pakistan. Regional Head SPO, MPA Parween Akhtar and MPA Dr. Nausheen Hamid attended session as a prominent speakers. Director ITA Ms. Baela Raza Jameel also joined the event as a honorable guest.  
Outcome: 1. Capacity building and awareness sessions were held for more than 100 youngsters.
2. Recommendations were made on education system and presented to parliamentarians to raise this issue in parliament. 
Community Sessions

Program: Education & Capacity Building, SDG4
Project Duration: March 2015
Target Audience: Mothers, Community
Main Objective: Advocacy of Community on Article 25-A
Introduction: A community session was organized by Kafka Welfare Organization with DFID funded education campaign Alif Ailaan in collaboration with AWAZ program at Maryam Colony near Bagriyan.  
Outcome: Recommendations were made and presented to parliamentarians to raise issues of the community. 
Education Enrollment Rangeela Riksha Tour

Program: Education & Capacity Building (Article 25-A Awareness), SDG 4
Project Duration: August 2015
Target Audience: Citizen of Walled City Lahore, Youth and Media
Main Objective: Advocacy of Article 25-A (Right to Education Act)
Introduction:
Outcome: More than 1000 parents got aware through campaign.

Target Audience: Public School Teachers of Punjab
Main Objective:  Highlight teacher Issues and envision their role in transforming education
Introduction:
Outcome: More than 500 people in grass root area got awareness on the importance of education for their children.
Policy dialogue on the security situation of public schools

Program: Education & Capacity Building, Children, SDG4 
Project Duration: Jan 2015
Target Audience: Parliamentarians, Politicians, Civil Society and Civil Society Organizations, Youth, Teachers and Teacher Unions 
Main Objective: Policy Advocacy on Security Situation of Public Schools After APS Attack
Introduction:
Outcome: Issues were raised by teachers and hurdles of education system were discussed.
2. Recommendations were made and presented to parliamentarians to raise this issue in parliament. 
Policy Dialogue on Budget Hurdles and Implementation of article 25-A

Program: Education & Capacity Building, SDG4
Project Duration: June 2015
Target Audience: Parliamentarians, Politicians, Civil Society and Civil Society Organizations, Youth, Teachers and Teacher Unions 
Main Objective: Education Budget Tracking, Demanding increase of Education Budget, Advocacy of all stakeholders on Education Budget 
Introduction:
Outcome: 2. Different civil society organizations discussed the need of implementation of article 25 A and plans were developed to make this implementation successful
2. Recommendations were made and presented to parliamentarians to raise this issue in parliament.
Session on Girls education 

Program: Education & Capacity Building (Girls Education), SDG4, SDG5
Project Duration: Oct 2015
Target Audience: Parliamentarians, Politicians, Civil Society and Civil Society Organizations, Youth, Teachers and Teacher Unions 
Main Objective: Raise Voice for Girls Education, Discuss Challenges and Barriers of Girls Education
Introduction:
Outcome: 1.  Different civil society organizations discussed the need of increment in girls education rate  and plans were developed to make this increment successful
2. Recommendations were made and presented to parliamentarians to raise this issue in parliament. 

Civil Society Protest for Karachi incident

Outcome: Democratic protest was done to show sympathy and brotherhood with the incident victims.
Sports for Education & Development

Main Objective: Sensitize youth on Sports for Development & Peace, Youth Participation in Political and Policy Advocacy
